AUSTRALIA'S OUTBACK NORTHERN TERRITORY BENEFIT DINNER  
wild about wildlife:  saving the wilds of pungalina

Held in partnership with the Open in new windowAustralian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), the dinner raised funds for Open in new windowPungalina - a property spanning half a million acres of the Northern Territory's spectacular outback.  AWC is working with the US based Open in new windowWildlife Australia Fund Inc (WAFI) to save Pungalina.

Open in new windowProfessor Tim Flannery, internationally acclaimed environmentalist, presented on the night.

Guests experienced an evening of creativity and theatrical flair, along with their support for Australia’s globally significant biodiversity. The evening had elements of fine Australian talent, including acclaimed Indigenous artist and recent ARIA Award winner, Open in new windowGeoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, Indigenous contemporary artist Dewayne Everettsmith, the Open in new windowAustralian String Quartet and the Qantas Choirs.

Australian celebrity chef Open in new windowPete Evans crafted the menu with fresh produce flown in from Australia and paired with premium Australian wines from Tasmania.

* All ticket sales went directly to WAFI in order to fund Pungalina. WAFI is an independent not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charity.
