In 2011 over 350 guests attended the black tie gala benefiting the Texas Charity Project Joy and Hope.  The guests were treated to an Australian gourmet dinner paired with Australian wines and the "Star of Australia" awards ceremony . The evening also included a raffle, silent auction, and big board to raise funds for Project Joy and Hope.  Project Joy and Hope is a non-profit with a mission to promote physical and psychological well-being of children living with life-limiting conditions, and their families, through community awareness, education, program development, and resource development. In the most successful raffle, silent auction, and big board auction to date, the gala raised $55,000 for Project Joy and Hope.
